Welcome to the Alkaline Trio Archive!


My name is AJ, and I’ve been a fan of Alkaline Trio since their early days. Like many fans, I first discovered Trio while playing "Tony Hawk’s Underground" on the PlayStation 2 in 2003. At the time, finding anything Alkaline Trio related in my hometown was nearly impossible, so I turned to the internet.

During the MySpace era, I connected with other fans to share artwork, layouts, music discussions, demos, and live tracks. In late 2005, I found the Last.fm forums, where I met fellow fans such as James311, JimmyXChainsaw, and Twikki, all of whom shared a deep love for Trio and their history.

In mid-2007, Twikki created the All Hope Deleted forum, which I joined shortly after. Having a dedicated hub for Trio fans inspired me to start a Blogspot site a few months later, where I attempted to catalog rare and hard-to-find Trio music. Through these communities, I also discovered Alkaline Trio’s official fan club, the Bloodpact, which I joined in 2009 which was unfortunately just before it shut down later that year.

As All Hope Deleted closed, the Last.fm forums faded, and MySpace declined, I found new communities on Absolutepunk.net and Vinyl Collective. There, I met many people who expanded my knowledge of Alkaline Trio and related bands like The Lawrence Arms and The Gaslight Anthem. Around this time, I also began seriously collecting Alkaline Trio vinyl, building on a collection that already included CDs, shirts, and a large Matt Skiba poster.

In May 2012, I launched a Trio vinyl fansite titled "Your Final Coffin Nail’s Been Driven Far Too Much". The project was a bit of a failure, as I attempted to catalog everything from vinyl variants and CDs to clothing, lyrics, and photos. I put the site on hold to focus on learning web design, coding, and databases, while continuing to share my collection on Facebook and Vinyl Collective.

After several unrelated web projects and running a non-Trio related forum and website for a bit, I decided in December 2019 to create the Alkaline Trio Archive (originally planned as the Alkaline Trio Museum). I started by photographing my collection and building a spreadsheet to track vinyl variants. Inspired by collectors such as AlkalineTrioVinyl on Instagram and DanTheMJFan, the site evolved through multiple revisions. In June 2023, it moved from its original domain at www.alkalinetrio.rf.gd to its current home at www.alkalinetrioarchive.com.

The Alkaline Trio Archive is a labor of love and a way for me to share my passion for the band with fans around the world. I hope you enjoy exploring the site as much as I’ve enjoyed creating it.
